Hay fever grass pollens have tripled in Brisbane, study shows, and it could be related to climate change
A new study has found climate change could be influencing an increase in one of the major hay fever allergens in Australia, prompting calls for further research to be conducted.
The peer-reviewed study, which examined rates of grass pollen exposure at a site in Brisbane, found the seasonal pollen level almost tripled between 2016 and 2020, compared with a four-year period two decades earlier.
